Closing out the U.S portion of the Scurrilous album cycle, PROTEST THE HERO will embark on a 24 date coast-to-coast U.S tour starting March 25th in Chicago.  Scurrilous was released in March of 2011 (Vagrant) and this will be the band’s 3rd tour of the U.S supporting the album. Tickets for the tour go on sale in most cities this Friday, February 3rd.

Periphery will be the special guest following their European tour opening for Dream Theater.  The band will be showcasing material from their new self-titled release coming in May.  Rounding out the bill will be ex-Nevermore guitarist Jeff Loomis supporting his debut CD coming in April, The Safety Fire supporting their new disc, Grind The Ocean, releasing in April, and Canadian band Today I Caught The Plague.

Protest The Hero have just released their new official video for “Hair-Trigger”! “Hair-Trigger” is the second single released from the band’s latest album Scurrilous [iTunes link], and features the guest vocals of Jadea Kelly, who also appears in the video. Watch the new video below!

After a successful spring tour of the US and Canada, Protest The Hero will return to the US for a three week headline tour November 28 to December 22. Along with Protest The Hero, the 20 shows will feature Prosthetic recording artists Scale The Summit and Last Chance To Reason. In addition, promoters will be adding a local band to each show.

Scurrilous is Protest The Hero’s third full-length and was released to critical acclaim in March. The five-piece spent the summer on a full European tour following their spring US/ Canada tour. The band will return for a second European tour in February/March 2012.

The video for the new single “Hair Trigger” will debut on November 1 in conjunction with the tour, stay tuned!
